a friend of mine is my insurance agent..
when i got the insurance for the civic i told him what i had in it and what i expected to get out of it if anything happened...he told me to keep my receipts..proof of everything that i put into it that would help...then i itemized everthing the whole sound system engine and labor times to install... he told me to pound sand...the car just isn't worth it. in any condition....i guess that is just one of the probs. with owning a car so old that was originally sold as a econo. class auto..

When my Civic got totaled this summer i also had a long battle with the insurance company. I asked to get the money that i had into the car and they gave me some money for things after i showed them reciepts. Some things like a new winshield they wouldn't give me any money for b/c it was a "maintance item" they said. If you have any reciepts them to them and show them pics and give them an average replacement cost of the upgrades that you put on. You won't get all the money that you have into it back but a good majority. They gave me a price of $2650 the first time than i told them to shove it and i got a price of $3000 and i played with them somemore and asked for more and settled with $3350. Wait it out and and keep telling them that they have to do better. Good luck.

FYI! I have Allstate insurance and what I did was insured the car for a set value. so instead of getting $2000.00 IF my car ever was totalled, I insured it for $9,000.00
that should cover mods, stereo, etc...and it only cost me about 35.00 every 6 months. so in essence i'm not insuring a "91 civic", I'm insured for 9k if something happens

Well bud to tell you the truth your lucky they are even covering the wheels and tiers, but if you are having any problems with them you tell them you will call a lawyer, if that don't work then do it. Call one. But most of the time it is much easier to just pay it then have to pay all the court cost, it would jut be cheaper to pay you.
Good luck, anymore ? Just ask. Sorry I don't post my e-mail, my girl reads it sometime and it's kind of like my own business if you know what I mean. That?s y I don't post it.
and sorry it took so long to post. i was out all weekend getting my GS-T

yeah, that was the route I was planning on. of course, they havent returned my call from this morning yet
I know I'm lucky they're covering that stuff and i wouldnt really complain about it...but in my initial conversation, he said that I'd get most of my money back for both of those items...
